| About the Canadian Evangelical Theological Association The Canadian Evangelical Theological Association (CETA) seeks to provide a forum for scholarly contributions to the renewal of theology and church in Canada.
Members include interested academics, pastors and lay people.
The Association promotes theological work that seeks to be loyal to Jesus Christ and His Gospel, faithful to the primacy of Scripture, and responsive to the guiding force of the Christian church.
The annual meeting of the association is usually held in conjunction with the Canadian Congress of the Social Sciences and Humanities. The 2009 annual meeting will be on May 23 at Carlton University, Ottawa ON.
Membership in CETA includes a subscription to Canadian Evangelical Review. A membership form may be found below under the heading "The Canadian Evangelical Review".
Regular Call for Papers
The Executive of the Canadian Evangelical Theological Association (CETA) welcomes proposals for papers to be presented at the May 23, 2009 Annual Meeting to be held in conjunction with the Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences at Carleton University.
CETA encourages submission of high quality papers on any topic of theological relevance to Canadian Evangelicalism. Special consideration will be given to papers related to the issues raised by the recent "Berlin Declaration" of the WEA Theological Commission.

Papers should be scholarly but not highly specialized presentations aimed at an audience of scholars from across the spectrum of theological disciplines, including biblical studies and historical, systematic, moral and pastoral theology. Proposals from graduate students are welcome.
Proposals should be approximately 250 words in length and should be accompanied by a short CV. All proposals should be submitted electronically to the address below in either Word or Rich-text format by January 31, 2009. Please entitle your email "CETA 2009 Paper Proposal." Papers chosen for participation will be notified by March 1, 2009.
